Solo Mini
Arcam's Solo Mini provides the ideal solution for all those who crave high-quality reproduction without the traditional
“pile of boxes” approach. Building on the original Solo Music system using audiophile-grade components and sophisticated
circuitry taken from higher priced Arcam components but in a smaller form factor, the Solo Mini delivers premium performance
and a delightfully engaging sound from a single, stylish, compact and easy to use unit that is unequalled at the price.
Housed in one sleek, easy-to-operate system with superb build quality, all-metal casework and full dot matrix display with
easy-to-read text and full remote control, the Solo Mini is that is a delight to use. Wake up to CD or radio with inbuilt
clock featuring four independent alarms. The built-in audiophile-quality 25 watts per channel amplifier, CD player and FM/DAB
or FM/AM radio tuner plus MP3 and WMA playback from USB, integrated iPod interface or CD-R is a true revelation in sound quality
for small systems.
CD player
Using the same 24-bit multilevel Delta-Sigma Wolfson DACs and high-precision, low-jitter crystal clock from Arcam's
award-winning CD73 with CD text, CD-R and CDRW transport and MP3 compatible playback, digital sources are processed with extremely
high precision allowing fine detail to be reproduced with breathtaking clarity.
Built-in DAB digital radio and FM tuner
Radio performance is first class from the built-in high sensitivity DAB/FM or FM/AM tuner.
Power amplifiers
The Solo Mini uses the same high-current power amplifiers as Arcam's full-size Solo Music system, ensuring a truly dynamic
experience even at louder volume levels. Independently regulated power supplies, oversized toroidal transformer and a passive
fanless cooling system ensure even demanding bass lines are delivered without compromise to other instruments or voices with
a steady, crystal clear and continuous 25W RMS/8 ohm power output.
Preamplifier
Five line level inputs with front-panel USB, front-panel mini jack input for MP3 players and games consoles, front-panel
headphones mini-jack and infrared jack input PLUS preamplifier output for external power amps AND full Bass and Treble controls.
Custom Installation
With full Infra-Red and RS232 control, the Solo Mini is equally at home in stand alone systems or full custom installations.
Solo Muso Loudspeaker System
Specially designed to compliment the Arcam Solo Music and Movie systems, the Muso is a two-way, bass-reflex loudspeaker
system combining discreet looks with stunning performance.
The Muso's front-ported, two-way speaker design offers a bass performance far beyond that of a typical "satellite"
speaker, meaning it can be used as a simple stereo pair when positioned close to walls or in cabinet fixtures.
The Muso enclosure is made from a clever combination of aluminium and steel components bonded together with the latest
adhesive technology producing an extremely "dead" cabinet with the lowest possible resonance.
The Muso incorporates the very latest in leading-edge driver and loudspeaker technology:
- 25mm (1") ultra-light and magnetically screened aluminium tweeter dome for maximum stiffness and clarity at the
top end
- 85mm (3.5") polymer/aluminium cone magnetically screened woofer with vented pole piece woofer magnet for lower distortion
- Smooth flow, flared "L shape" port for extended bass response
- 8 component crossover with air-cored HF inductor on Glass Fibre PCB
- Gold plated 4mm binding posts
Magnetically-mounted, acoustically-transparent tweeter sub grill and compliant rubber isolation mat are standard. A full
range stereo music or movie system can be configured with the addition of the Logo sub woofer. Optional Muso floor stand and
wall bracket are also available.

Minimalist brushed-metal design. Superb build-quality with gold RCA sockets enabling audiophile cabling and Apple iPod inserts
for perfect fit of iPod to irDock. The new irDock includes a remote control to let you control your iPod from your armchair.
Intelligent Charging allows programmable charge-on, charge-off settings to avoid battery damage caused
by overcharging. A single button on the front of the unit gives the user the option of deciding whether or not to charge the
iPod whilst in the dock. This not only extends battery life by allowing the iPod battery to completely discharge but also
allows the iPod to produce the best sound possible by running off the iPod battery alone.
The Arcam irDock achieves total integration between iPod and Solo systems and selected Hi-Fi and Home Cinema components,
sending both audio to the hi-fi amplifier and video to the TV monitor as S-Video or Composite. An RS232 connection to Solo
from the rDock enables seamless remote control of the iPod from the Solo handset while displaying track and artists' information
on the amplifiers front panel display. Control of the music is simple. Central control keys on the Solo operate the iPod in
the same way as the iPod’s own control wheel. Listings of music by Artist, Genre, Album and Track are all available
as well as feedback on transport controls such as Play, Stop, Fast Forward and Rewind.
